“Be mindful of those moments when you … disappoint other people. And perhaps yourself.

Notice when you are not who you want to be. When you say something annoying…seemingly, just for the sake of annoying the people around you.

Or you complain too much about trivial things. Or, you find yourself acting in a way that betrays, pettiness or impatience or callousness. Or you sound insincere… perhaps because you are insincere.

Or you otherwise embarrass yourself.

When you have one of these moments, when you think… why did I say that? what’s wrong with me?

The moment that happens, if an apology is appropriate — make it immediately.

And wether or not there is anything to say to another person, forgive yourself.

Immediately.

And fully.

Just freefall, through yourself, into the next moment.

And genuinely, absolutely, without the slightest residue, as though fully awakening from a bad dream… begin your life again.
